The closer the winter holidays are, the more you want to plunge into their magical atmosphere. Many begin to prepare for them in advance. And nothing fills the atmosphere with a fairy tale like fabulous creatures, for example, such cute gnomes. Just take a look at these charms! Such and any environment will decorate, and will be an excellent gift. You can make them with your own hands, there is nothing complicated about it.

You will need:

  • fabric 1 (for the body);
  • fabric 2 (for the cap);
  • wire;
  • filler for stuffing;
  • fur or wool for felting (for a beard);
  • weighting agent (cereals or pebbles);
  • cotton thread;
  • decorative elements;
  • sewing accessories

Let's start with a blank stencil for the hat. To do this, fold a sheet of paper of the required size in half and draw on it such a figure resembling a slide. Then we cut it along the marked contour and this is what we should get in expanded form. You guessed it, this is the bottom of the cap.

Now we take the material chosen for the hat, we also fold it in half so that the final shape is obtained from two connected parts. We pin the stencil to the fabric and complete the shape to the triangle. Cut out and get just such a blank cap-cap.

Next, we sew this blank from the seamy side, turn it out and get a cap. So that the finished cap can be given any shape, for example, bend the tip, we put the wire inside. We glue one of the ends of the wire to the tip of the cap. Then we fill it with some stuffing material, for example, synthetic winterizer.

Now let's deal with the gnome himself. To do this, we will prepare stencils for his torso. Cut out 1 larger circle from paper with slightly pointed ends and 1 smaller oval, also with pointed ends. The larger oval is the body itself, that is, the face and back, the smaller oval is the lower part of the body.

We circle the resulting stencils on the fabric, cut out, not forgetting about the allowances. Larger, round parts will be needed 2. Sew the round parts together on the sides, leaving a small hole on top for stuffing. Sew the oval part to the round ones along the bottom, forming the bottom. We turn it out and get a kind of bag.

In order for the gnome to be more stable, we will load it. To do this, we take, for example, some kind of cereal and pour it into a bag, which we then put on the bottom of the body. Next, just like the hat, we fill the body with the selected material.

We put on a hat on the torso. Now you need to prepare the arms and legs. We cut them out of fabric, sew and stuff. The handles can be made in the form of such mittens, and fur bubbles can be used for the legs. For the button nose, we simply make a bag, which we then also fill.

Putting all the details together. If your gnome is a girl, then you can weave such braids for her from cotton thread. If a boy, a beard will be an excellent attribute. Add the finishing touches in the form of various decor, for example, buttons and ribbons on pigtails and you're done!
