For most of us, New Year's Eve is a special time, and it does not matter at all how old we are, 5 or 55. For the winter holidays you always start preparing in advance: you choose gifts, think over the menu and outfits and, of course, decorate your house or even everything around. For the most part, it is thanks to various decorations that that magic New Year's mood is created.
Every year we come up with some new and unusual festive decor. One of the curious options is such a wonderful snowflake. Can you guess what it is made of? From ordinary hangers! And after the holidays, they can be used again for their intended purpose, because this structure is quite easy to disassemble.
You will need:
- plastic hangers;
- plastic clamps
For each such snowflake, you will need 16 hangers. You can take both children's and adult hangers. Snowflakes from the first will be smaller than from the second. In addition, various elements of the hanger can be an additional decoration for the snowflake, for example, hooks or rungs for trousers.
We begin to collect our snowflake. It is most convenient to do this on the floor: there is a lot of space, and the surface is flat. First, we assemble the hangers in pairs, with the lower crossbars towards each other. These will be the rays of our snowflake. Then you can just start laying out an arbitrary drawing, because no snowflake is like another. You can lay out 4 rays just in a circle and stop there.
Or you can go ahead and lay out the second tier of the snowflake. We also fold the hangers in two and put them on top in the middle of the first tier. As a result, the snowflake will have 8 rays.
If we got the shape that suits us completely, we begin to fix it with clamps. First, the edges of the rays, and then the middle of the snowflake. At this stage, it is not necessary to tighten the clamps strongly, the hangers should remain mobile so that we have the opportunity to fix them, if anything.
Correct and check the snowflake, the shape should be even. When you are sure, tighten the clamps fully and cut the ponytails. Our snowflake is ready! If desired, it can be painted or decorated with something.
