If you want bright accents to appear in your interior, then make such interesting fish. They are good not only for their originality, but also for the fact that they fit equally well both into a very bold and bright interior, and into a laconic, sustained in one tone environment.
And such fish are an excellent reason to get acquainted with the point painting technique. And also use dried self-hardening clay, if you have it somewhere suddenly lying around.
You will need:
- cardboard;
- stationery knife;
- glue;
- self-hardening clay;
- sandpaper;
- acrylic paints
And at the first stage of work, you will need a cardboard and a fish template, which you can draw yourself or download. To make our fish strong, we cut out 3 cardboard blanks, and then glue them, alternating the direction of the stripes on the cardboard. You need to cut it with a clerical knife, not with scissors, since the latter will not give an even cut and make creases on the cardboard. We leave the glued blanks under the press until they dry.
Next, we take any self-hardening clay, fill it with water and leave it for several hours. In this case, dried clay is also great. When the clay dissolves, we cover all sides of the workpiece with the resulting mass, do not forget about the ends. So we apply 4 layers of clay, given that the next layer can be applied only when the previous one has dried.
When the clay is dry, sand the workpiece well, and then cover it with clay again. We process the ends well.
Then we cover the fish with white primer or white acrylic paint, now you can start decorating. First, we do the markup with a simple pencil, then we paint.
It is best to paint with acrylic paints. First, fill the segments with the dominant colors, in our case red, orange and yellow. It is better not to make dark tones dominant.
When the fish is painted, draw out the outlines with a thin brush.
Finally, it was the turn of the spot painting. Connect your imagination, draw with dots, lines, patterns. As for the color, it is better to use contrasting colors.
We make the eyes from glass stones for the aquarium, glue and paint them. Done!
