As a child, did you like making toys in anticipation of the New Year's miracle? Then we only had paper and cardboard at our disposal, and the decorations were rarely saved until the next tree. Now at our service is foamiran, a durable and safe material that can be purchased in creative stores or ordered on the Internet. These balls will last for many years!
Materials (edit):
- several sheets of foamiran with sparkles of different colors;
- hot melt glue;
- beautiful thread;
- for decoration - beads, beads, plastic or textile lace and other decorative materials.
How to make fairy balls for a Christmas tree
For one ball, you need two colors of foamiran. Cut 8 circles of each color with a diameter of 6 cm.
Fold each circle in half and cut.
Apply hot melt glue along the cut from edge to center of the semicircle. Fold in half and glue with the shiny side inward - you get "pouches". Take two bags of the same color, grease with hot glue along the fold and glue. As a result, you will get 4 semicircles with "pockets" of each color.
Using hot melt glue along the diameter of each semicircle, glue them together, alternating colors. Stretch the sandwich. Half of the ball is ready. Do the second in the same way.
Glue the two halves together and straighten the pockets. Now they resemble dahlia petals.
Cut a rectangular strip from the foamiran of one of the colors used for the balloon.
Fold it lengthwise with sequins outward. Glue a loop of thread to one of the edges and roll the strip into a roll. Fix the edge with hot melt glue. Glue the "roll" into the hole on one side of the ball.
Likewise, make a "roll" of foamiran of a different color, but without thread. Glue it into the hole on the opposite side. Decorate the ball with beads, lace and other suitable materials.
Knowing the basic principle, you will have time to make many, many balls before the New Year, each of which is unique!
