A creative approach allows you to create practical design items with thoughtful functionality from available materials. At the same time, the costs are close to zero, and the result can be amazing. Look at what ordinary plastic bottles have become, and any doubts will disappear immediately.
The idea is interesting and original. It is planned to make an original stand for cutlery from a pair of empty square-shaped bottles. First you need to trim and trim the bottles.
The auxiliary material is ice cream sticks and a piece of packing cardboard. To begin with, we cut out a rectangle from cardboard, the width of which corresponds to the side edge of the plastic bottle, and the height exceeds the height of the containers by about 2 times. Immediately we make a slot in the cardboard blank for the handle with an indent from the top edge of 2-2.5 cm.
Trying on sticks, for convenience, we immediately make markings.
To smooth out irregularities on the cardboard and get rid of voids in the places of trimming, we additionally cover it with molar tape. We adjust the sticks in height.
We glue the cardboard blank with chopsticks on both sides, and then from the ends.
We glue the plastic containers, after having performed the adjustment and trimming of the sticks. Then we glue it one by one to the board, which acts as a partition.
Along the bottom and at the junction of the glasses with the board, we start up a jute edging.
Additionally, we decorate the stand with flowers. This can be done in another way. A jute applique or a pattern laid out from pieces of sticks is perfect for decoration. If desired, you can varnish the sticks. This will only improve the performance of the stand and make the material more water resistant.
The stand is ready. It remains only to fill it and admire the result. If you wish, you can do a lot of interesting things using a similar technique: a napkin holder and a towel holder, an organizer for spices.
