Petunia is one of the most beautiful flowers that delight summer residents and owners of household plots with a long flowering period. A large number of varieties and colors allows you to create flower beds of amazing beauty. To provide yourself with different varieties of petunias in sufficient quantity to create a flower bed, it is not necessary to buy all the seedlings. A great way to save money and get what you want is cuttings.

In this case, you will have to buy one lush bush of petunias of different colors. If necessary, let the bush grow a little and divide it into separate parts.

It is easy to get up to 10 cuttings 5-7 cm long from one bush. If there are buds on the petunia at the time of cuttings, they must be removed. So the flowers will take root faster. We treat each stalk with Kornevin or another root formation stimulator and plant it in a pre-prepared glass.

An ideal soil mixture for petunia seedlings will be a peat-containing substrate with the addition of perlite. Cuttings in such soil will receive all the necessary nutrition and will not dry out. It remains to water the seedlings, place them in the shade and cover with foil. To avoid the appearance of mold, the seedlings must be ventilated daily and, if necessary, watered. After one and a half to two weeks, the roots will appear on the petunia. A couple more days - and you can get rid of the film. After the root system gets stronger, it remains to plant the petunia in the flowerbed along with a lump of earth.
