Any apartment, even a seemingly completely hopeless at first glance, with a completely inexpressive interior, can be transformed beyond recognition. Moreover, you can do this on your own and without spending any cosmic sums. You just need to find a source of inspiration, think over the project, and, of course, get fired up with an idea, then the strength will be found.
This is one of the walls of the studio apartment before and after renovation. Agree, the difference is colossal: almost grandmother's environment has been transformed into a modern stylish interior.
You will need:

The first stage is preparatory, it is very important, so approach it responsibly. We remove everything from the room, remove the wallpaper and sockets. If the plaster has fallen off somewhere, we sand this place and cover it with putty. If there are holes in the wall from any fasteners, we also fill them with putty from a syringe. Wash the wall and let it dry.
Then you can prime. Using a roller, cover the wall with 1 layer of soil, let it dry. And at this time, we are preparing the decor for the wall, in our case these are moldings that are quite popular today. They will give the interior a classic yet modern look. We have them placed in the form of 3 rectangular frames. We measure and cut the moldings in accordance with the idea. Cut the joints of the parts at an angle of 45 degrees.
When the primer is dry, you can attach the moldings to the wall, but first you should make accurate markings on the wall with a pencil, it will also not be superfluous to use a level. In our case, the frames of the moldings are placed so that they are above the sofa. If you are confident in yourself and your markings, we glue the moldings on assembly glue or liquid nails.
Finally, you can start painting. It is best to choose a matte paint, firstly, it looks a little more noble. Secondly, scratches on a matte wall will not stand out, as there will be no glare on it. So, first we paint over moldings, corners and other hard-to-reach places with a brush, since the roller will not work there. After that, paint the entire wall with a roller. Let the first layer dry completely, only then apply the second.
We will paint not only the wall, but also the door. It must first be sanded to remove the top varnish layer and achieve better adhesion of the surface to the paint. Then we degrease the surface and prime it in 1 layer. We do the same with the platbands, having previously removed them, because it is more convenient this way.
To make the door look more expensive, we also decorate it with moldings. When the primer is dry, we attach the moldings, return the platbands, and you can paint. In our case, the paint has a rich black color. By the way, an unpleasant surprise may be a hole above the door, which the builders decided to simply cover with wallpaper. You can close it with another molding.
Perhaps the resulting interior lacks comfort, textiles and light shades. Add a light blanket and pillows to the sofa, pillowcases for which you can sew yourself. In our case, these are homemade leather and linen pillows, as well as a couple of pillows from the store. Finally, add some decorative elements to the wall. By the way, the framed poster can be hung on the wall or simply placed on the sofa. And, of course, a flower to liven up the atmosphere even more.
