The presence of old jeans in the arsenal is a great reason to update a child's wardrobe. Even one pair is enough to sew a self-sufficient children's suit. Practical and cute, he can become the favorite clothes of the crumbs. If the details related to the appearance of the new thing are hidden from strangers, then no one would even dare to assume that the once elegant two-piece, consisting of a skirt and a vest, was remade from an old thing.

To implement the idea, you only need pant legs. First of all, we cut them off from the belt and get rid of the folds. As a result, one trouser leg will be spent on each thing.

Cut the leg in half. We start work on the vest from the back, cut it out from the bottom, after making the necessary measurements and markings. In this case, we do not cut the leg. The factory seam will be in the middle of the back. We do all the markings from the side of the seam. From the top we retreat 2 cm down and 6 cm to the side to indicate the neck. We connect the points together with a smooth transition.

From the top point, we measure another 6 cm at a slight angle, so that the indent from the edge at the end of the segment is about 1.5 cm and we get an ridge of the shoulder. We measure from the seam to the side a distance equal to half the width of the back. Just below the middle, mark a point 1 cm closer to the seam to set the desired bend. And in the upper part we designate the armhole. After the marking is completely done, we cut out the part, starting from the neck.

It is important that the fabric does not shift, as the markings are made only on one half of the back.

We make a fit, cut the back to length, keeping the required dimensions.

To cut the front shelves, use the back as a template. Attaching the back to the remaining piece of leg, we perform curly trimming. From the opposite edge, we cut the parts along the seam line and additionally form a cutout.

We put aside 6 cm from the top of the back and draw a transverse line.

We combine the backrest with the shelves, if necessary, make a fit. We transfer the transverse markings to both shelves.

Let's move on to cutting the skirt. Fold the second leg in half, without cutting, and measure in the middle, perpendicular to the factory seam, a distance equal to half the width of the skirt. We make another mark from the bottom, but now increasing the indentation by 1-1.5 cm in order to expand the skirt to the bottom.

Cut out and smooth out the details. We seal the edges as much as possible.

We attach lace to the bottom of the details, at the same time forming warehouses and stitching the skirt from the sides.

We measure out a wide elastic band for the belt and connect it in a circle. We form a belt. Stretching the elastic, we fix it from the inside out at the locations of the factory seams, and then we attach it, slightly pulling it. We make a fold and lay another line. The elastic is now securely fastened and hidden under the denim.

We lay the lace ruffle on the shelves and back of the vest, and then sew the side and shoulder seams.

We make edging around the perimeter of the product and along the armhole. We put the lace on the seamy side, face down and with a smooth edge outward, and attach around the perimeter.

Turning the vest over, fold the lace outward and lay another line. Complement the finished suit, if desired, with rhinestone applique or embroidery.
