Do you want to surprise your family and guests, make your home more comfortable and enjoy the quiet murmur of water? Make an original flower pot that doubles as a mini fountain. To make it, you do not need special skills and materials. The main thing is to follow the instructions exactly.

To get started, you will need four sheets of 54 x 40 cm styrofoam and a utility knife. Departing from the edges by 9 cm, in the center of each sheet, draw and cut a hole 30 by 23 cm.

In the next step, you will need a cut of plastic water pipes and a connecting corner, as well as a piece of flexible PVC tubing. Several holes must be drilled in the longest piece of pipe.

All tubes must be connected to each other and carefully glued with PVC glue. Any suitable cap, for example, from baby oil, can be glued to a long section of the water pipe as a plug. Use a marker to mark the places where the water supply system will run. Use a soldering iron to "cut" the groove and place the connected tubes in it.

Step back about 2.5 cm from the bottom edge, draw a rectangle and cut it out with a clerical knife. Flip the piece face down, place it on a second sheet of Styrofoam, and trace all the paths. Mirror cut all holes and indentations. Place the water supply system between two sheets of foam.

On the two outer sheets of foam, it is also necessary to cut out recesses that are mirrored to each other, leaving about 2 cm of sheet thickness. In the back sheet, cut out a "window" for the flexible tube. Fold all four sheets and glue together carefully.

Leaving 5 cm on all sides, cut grooves for flowers at the top of the structure.

Dissolve the cement mixture in the proportion: 2 parts cement, 1 part sand, 2 parts water. Cover all side joints on the foam with a masking bandage. Apply cement to the entire structure with a flat brush. Let it dry.

Thin the cement again, but thicken the mixture. Apply the mortar to the structure, leveling with a trowel. To add texture to the surface, apply a third layer of cement, pulling out the “peaks” with a brush.

Pour soil and plant flowers in the upper recess. Place stones at the bottom of the mini-pond. Attach a small submersible pump to the flexible hose. You can add an LED strip if you wish.

Pour water into the reservoir. The interior fountain pot is ready!
