An exceptionally original and beautiful Christmas tree toy can be made from ordinary polystyrene (expanded polystyrene), wood chips for smoking and thin branches. The end result is an adorable owl that surpasses any store-bought toy! DIY this wonderful owl for the holidays.

You will need Styrofoam or Styrofoam for the base. An egg shape should be cut out of it with a clerical knife. At the top, you need to make a small hole for the rope in advance, so that in the future you can hang the toy on the tree.

We glue the tape or rope. Then we take ordinary wood chips for smoking, apply hot glue to the workpiece and glue the chips, row by row, imitating owl feathers.

To make an owl's tail, you need to cut thin branches 5-6 cm long and glue them into the bottom of the workpiece. Use scissors to trim the ponytail to make it look neat.

Cut long thin strips out of corrugated paper and roll them into tubes with your fingers.

Cut the tubes into pieces of 2-3 cm. Glue on hot glue, row by row, over the entire surface of the workpiece, starting from the back side and ending with the top.

Cut a triangular spout from a piece of shiny foamiran and glue it. Make feathers around the eyes from corrugated paper, trim off the excess length a little. Glue the eyes themselves on top (you can buy at any store for creativity and paint on the back with acrylic paint in the color you need).

If you want the toy to shine, apply some PVA glue and glitter on top. To complete the owl, you can glue feathers on both sides.
