Sometimes woolen things become unusable, and it becomes necessary to carefully mend the hole. There are several ways to patch the hole. We suggest looking at one of the options for darning a woolen sock - the work is not difficult at all, and the result is beyond praise!

For work, you will need yarn of the same color, a gypsy needle, a darning fungus (or a light bulb), scissors.

We fix the sock on the fungus, cut off the shaggy edges. Stretch the yarn guides all over the hole area. We arrange the threads quite tightly.

The end of the yarn should thus be in the lower right corner. While sewing, we will go up from the bottom up and vice versa, embroidering pigtails from yarn, which are similar to the main pattern. The needle thread should be passed vertically through the horizontal rows of threads.

Once you reach the hole, use the horizontal yarn guides. Pull the thread horizontally through the stretched row.

While moving from top to bottom, when we create the loop, we need to take the needle under the next guide line.

Having sewn the first row, we again thread the needle through the guide lines to the top of the square and begin to sew across the selected area.

We repeat the work over the entire surface of the hole. The result is a very neat and unobtrusive darning.
