Jeans that constantly have to be tightened due to the fact that they are large in the belt and fall off risk going to the trash can. Agree that such a trifle can infuriate even the most calm person. Therefore, today we want to share an ingenious, but simple way with which you can sew jeans at the waist.
For work you will need:
- sharp scissors;
- pin;
- awl;
- elastic band 2.5 cm wide - 3 cm.
Make a slit to match the width of the elastic on the inside of the jeans where the belt loop is sewn. Repeat the process on the other side of the jeans. Work carefully as the cut only needs to be made in one layer of the belt.
Next, cut a piece of elastic so that its size is a few cm less than the distance between the cuts made.
Attach a pin to one end of the elastic.
Insert a pin with an elastic into one of the holes in the belt and pull the elastic to the other hole. Make sure that the free end of the elastic remains visible and does not fall under the belt.
Secure both ends of the elastic using tailor's needles under the belt loops.
Sew the elastic with threads to match the jeans.
Now the jeans will not fall off and you will feel comfortable.
