We are accustomed to our cozy home, and while traveling we prefer to stay in comfortable hotels. However, Amy Butler and David Lowes are a couple truly in love with travel. They managed to do something that few people dare: they converted the bus into a cozy mobile home and now travel on it around Europe without spending a lot of money.

A few years ago, young people who met in Dubai, where they worked, and tired of the monotony, bought a 2005 Fiat Ducaro minibus for 5,500 pounds (a little more than 400 thousand rubles) and turned it into a wonderful mobile home.

Redesigning the bus took the couple 4 months, while the young people worked every day for 12 hours. Initially, they had a budget of 12,000 pounds (970 thousand rubles) for renovations and 5,000 pounds (400 thousand rubles) for a big trip. However, they had to increase their original budget by another £ 6,000 (RUB 470,000). This was necessary in order to make it the perfect place to live and travel.
According to David, they managed to turn the minibus into a small beach house. He and his girlfriend were able to completely re-equip the salon, make electrical wiring, plumbing and even conduct gas, without having special knowledge and skills.
“Having seen the result, we fell in love with our creation!”, The lovers say with pride.

Indeed, now the bus looks like a cozy beach house, which has everything you need for a comfortable life. A small kitchen, decorated with handmade turquoise tiles, has a comfortable worktop, cabinets and many shelves and is no different from a kitchen in a comfortable city apartment.

The kitchen is connected to the living room with a large window through which you can admire the scenery during the trip. The living room has a sofa that can be turned into a double bed for guests in just a minute. The couple pays special attention to details: decorative pillows, rugs, lamps: all this creates a special atmosphere on the bus.

The bus even has a double bedroom and a projector that the couple use to watch their favorite movies.

In addition, the mobile home has a bathroom with shower and toilet.

Amy and David made their first trip in a converted minibus from the UK to France, from where they went on a trip to northern Spain, after which they decided to organize a road trip to Portugal.

For more than three years, the couple has been on a big journey. David and Amy admit that they spend no more than $ 20 per day on food and personal needs.

So far, their favorite city is San Sebastian (Spain). Amy and David want to see as many cities as possible before choosing a location for their eco home in Europe. They dream of organizing a small farm where they will grow their own fruits and vegetables and keep livestock.
They also have plans to rebuild old buses for other travel-loving people.
