Many dachas have an old "dead" bathtub, which has not been used for its intended purpose for a long time. However, garbage is collected in it, concrete is mixed, etc. It is noteworthy that even such a “dead” bath can be “brought to life” and given a second life. The master decided to renovate the old bathtub and make it suitable for bathing. Moreover, he went further and completely changed the design, making the bath fantastically beautiful and unusual. Of course, the final version depends entirely on your taste and can be adjusted.

This is how the bath looked at the beginning of work. The first step was to manually remove all protruding pieces of dirt, cement, etc.

Then I cleaned the surface with a metal brush.

I washed the bathtub as far as possible. And before starting work, he degreased the surface with a solvent (acetone).

The main point in the work is filling. The master placed bags under the bottom of the bath and began to fill the bath with liquid acrylic. The color can be chosen the one that you like best. The master decided to make a custom black bath.

This is how the bath looked in a day: the acrylic hardened and leveled off.

At this stage, one could stop, but the master also decided to paint the bathtub in a space theme: he applied “distant galaxies” and “stars” using an airbrush (paint sprayer) and an ordinary brush (spray).

On the reverse side, the bathtub also had to be painted to match.

At the end of the work, the master covered everything with wear-resistant acrylic glossy transparent varnish. This is how the previously "killed" bath got a new life!
