Has an old coat been gathering dust in the closet for several seasons? Sew a trendy elongated vest out of it. For this alteration, it is most convenient to use hand seams, thanks to which you can process fabric of any thickness.
You will need:
- An old coat (or jacket);
- sharp scissors;
- thread and needle;
- tape measure;
- sewing pins

Measure 7-10 cm from the armhole along the bottom seam of the sleeve and cut along the oblique line.

Make a cut at the top.

Remove the lining from the inside of each sleeve.

Now you need to wrap the allowance inward, forming the desired shoulder line.

Cover the edges of the fabric with a coat lining. Pin and try on.

It remains to secure the result with a manual seam.

This vest looks great with a wide leather belt.

Not worse than the works of famous designers!
