If you come across a comfortable and very durable pair of sandals, consider yourself lucky. And don't be discouraged if the shoes are out of fashion. A few simple manipulations can completely transform the look of boring hairpins.

For alteration you will need:
- Sandals with a comfortable last;
- an old leather bag (or pieces of thick leather);
- satin ribbon;
- metallized acrylic paint in a spray can;
- strong hold shoe glue;
- sharp scissors;
- stationery knife or cutter

Cut out two rectangles from the old bag. They will become the future accessories for sandals. It is not necessary to use natural leather - dense dermantin will do.

We apply the markings of the future mesh on the seamy side of the leather strips.

Cut out squares on the board to avoid scratching your work surface.

Jagged edges can be trimmed with sharp nail scissors.

Such accessories can be worn as a bracelet … If there is enough leather, make a couple.

We return to the shoes. We cover the mesh with metallized acrylic paint from a spray can. In this case, the paint was matched to the color of the shoes.

We attach the resulting decor to the sandals using strong hold shoe glue, and let it dry completely.

The finishing touch is satin ribbon bows. A dense double-sided weave tape will look best. Singe the edges with a lighter so that they do not crumble. Your new sandals are ready to go!
