Before starting to create the lilac, I studied the "live specimen".
The structure of the twig is very interesting. I give the approximate arrangement of flowers in the diagram.
Let's start by creating flowers. In order to make the lilac look more delicate and airy, it is better to use two layers for the flower: I have a matte and translucent mother-of-pearl in two shades - pink from Fruto Nyanya water and lilac from mineral water.
There will be three types of blanks:
- Five petals - in each branch of lilac there must be a lucky flower of five petals. ?
- The four petals are the mother-of-pearl layer of the opened flowers.
- Three petals - for buds and a translucent layer
Cut the plastic into 15 mm squares. Cut each side in half, leaving about 5 mm in the center. You will have 4 petals. Round each slightly at the top and edges.
For a five-petal flower, cut a pentagon out of a square. Three petals - cut out a triangle. Further, the same as with four-petal.
When all the blanks are prepared, we proceed to heat treatment.
It is important - when working with plastic, the room must be ventilated. It is better to hold the workpiece with round-nose pliers. Processing is carried out not in fire, but over, that is, in hot air. The distance from the candle light to the workpiece must be at least 2 cm, otherwise the plastic will darken and shrink.
We bring the blank to the candle with the convex side up, with each petal in turn for literally seconds, and immediately remove it.
Thus, we process all the blanks.
And now we start assembling the lilac twigs.
- wire 0.4mm thick
- beads-droplets for buds.
Cut off 2 m of wire, collect beads, fold in half, dial a bead-bead on both ends of the wire and bugles on either end of the wire.
Pull up. And twist it a little.
The first "tier" consists of three branches with closed bead buds.
Take one end of the wire, put bugles, beads, beads on it and pass the wire back through the bead, the beads are a fixer.
Twist another twig. And one more. Now roll all three down 5mm.
The next tier consists of two branches, three branches each - one bead-bud and two half-open buds.
Take the long end of the wire again and twist another twig. And one more, adding a bud instead of a bead. Twist.
Add another branch with a bud.
Roll it down another 5-7mm. Add another twig of two buds and a bead.
Twist down again by 10mm.
We make the next branches by adding flowers according to the scheme. The flowers gradually open up, we add four-petal and four-petal with a transparent three-petal layer.
The third tier - two branches with 5 branches-flowers.
Before each tier, we twist the wire down by 10 mm.
Add two branches with flowers to each tier. The fourth tier - 7 each, the fifth tier - 9 and so on, until you are satisfied with the length of the branch. In nature, each branch of lilac usually has 7-9 tiers.
If the length of the wire runs out, it can be easily extended. Cut another 1.5 - 2 m, fold in half and wrap around the extreme branch, continue to weave the branches, periodically wrapping around the ends of the previous wire.
Here's what it should look like. Spread the flower twigs.
Such a twig can be attached to a brooch, hairpin and even woven into a bracelet or necklace.
