Many little girls dream of becoming princesses. For Henry Hooker's daughter, this dream has come true. Her father built a princess bed in real life!
To make his daughter's dream come true, he carefully approached the issue, working through every detail. Not only will she be able to sleep on the bed, there are also built-in drawers, a bookcase and a small tunnel for games.

A word to the author:
When designing the bed, I wanted to combine other pieces of furniture. Thus, we got it all in one. I saw several similar instructions in a magazine for a long time, but usually they had a table or sofa on the "first" floor. I would de like to provide additional space for games. Before starting, I spent almost a year on the project.

As you can see, Henry has worked carefully on each seam. I tried to do everything beautifully and smoothly, and a hand-held wood router helped him in this.

In the beginning, he made a structure where the children's mattress will lie.

Then I installed it on the base.

The result is such a tunnel.

After that, I attached a ladder, which will also become a shelf for books.

Railing.

He decided to make the first letter of his daughter's name "B" as the main decoration element. Using a hand router, he made it out of MDF.

This letter has a cunning design.

He wanted the bed to glow (this is an important option for kids!?). Therefore, I applied an LED strip to the supporting inner frame. Moreover, he did it in a special way. So that the light does not blind, I prepared special grooves where the LED strip was placed.

Henry tried so hard that he applied 5 coats of paint. He wanted everything to be perfect. Do you think he did it?

Of course he chose pink lighting! What other color can dad choose for his princess?))

Happy daughter!
