Skillfully crafted handmade carpets have always been appreciated. They give the home a special charm. A beautiful rug will decorate the bedroom and living room, but you can make it by giving free rein to your own imagination. To do this, you need to master some skills. During the time that the art of making carpets has existed, the technology has remained practically unchanged.
You don't need a loom or any skill to make these woven rugs. Look at the work done with a piece of cardboard and a regular fork, they can be easily repeated if desired. Such carpets look good both in the apartment and in the country, and most importantly, they are warm and thick enough to protect from the cold floor.
To make such a carpet, you will need cardboard of the size of the desired carpet, an ordinary fork and the rest of the wool yarn. Instead of cardboard, you can take a sheet of hardboard or any wide board into which you can drive nails.
Using a ruler, mark the cardboard on two opposite sides in 5 mm increments.
Make incisions
Wind the woolen thread around the cardboard, making eyelets in the cuts.
The smaller the step between the loops, the denser the carpet will be.
We begin to weave. Instead of a weaving shuttle, we will use a regular needle. Draw another thread between all the cross rows.
Repeat on the other side.
Make several of these rows. Then use a fork to compact the rows.
Secure the ends of the threads with adhesive tape for now.

After finishing work, remove the loops of the cardboard
Cut the loops in half and tie the knots. You can make tassels around the edges of the rug from yarn residues.
