  • Flour 500 g
  • Water 150 ml
  • White beans (canned) 1 can
  • Small onion 1 pc.

  • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Olive oil 1 tbsp l.
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for deep fat) as needed

Cooking method:

  • Mix the sifted flour with water, adding a little salt. Knead a tight dough, roll it into a ball and, wrapped in cling film, refrigerate for about an hour.
  • Peel the onion and chop finely. Fry it in a frying pan heated with olive oil until golden brown.
  • Drain the beans from the jar. Put the beans in a bowl and mix with the fried onions and chopped cilantro. Add cumin, salt and pepper. To stir thoroughly.
  • Divide the finished dough into 3 parts. Roll out one part, as on dumplings, and wrap the rest in plastic for now. Cut out circles with a diameter of 5–6 cm from the rolled dough, put a teaspoon of the filling on the center of each circle and pinch the edges carefully so that they do not stick out during frying.
  • Fry the pies for 2-3 minutes in hot oil, turning over. Transfer the finished pies with a slotted spoon on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
