If you think about embroidery, then, probably, the first thing that you imagine is an elderly lady who is embroidering flowers with a cross. But SheenLiam will change the way you think about this handicraft artist.

During the day, she is an international fashion model with shows in Los Angeles, Paris, London, and at night she devotes to her hobby, which may surprise you: embroidery… Yes! Between casting, fashion shows and intercontinental flights, she finds time for her favorite pastime.

The main feature of all her works is her hairstyles. They hang gracefully from the flat surface of the fabric. The base for the hair is a regular black thread. Hairstyles are different every time: French braid, bun, long tail. In one of her works, she even created the illusion that the embroidered woman was carelessly trimming her bangs.

Sheina's works have her own sense of style. She publishes all her work on Instagram, where she already has more than 50,000 subscribers.

“Most of my work is based on my own portraits,” she says. "Usually I take a photo as a basis for creating a sketch, which I then finalize, and it takes on a neat outline suitable for embroidery on the hoop."

“Through posture, hand position and body language in general, I love to convey mood,” she says. "Hair and its position emphasize movement."

Usually Shane's work is small, 5x5 inches (approximately 12.5x12.5 cm), but at the Chi Chi Von Tang exhibition (Singapore) she created a 5x5 foot (about 1.5x1.5m) canvas. “It was a real challenge,” Shane said.
