Recently I saw the work of another wonderful needlewoman - the Italian embroiderer ElisabettRicami, or rather her real name ElisabettSforza. She almost never gives information about herself, writes only about her works and the history of their creation. She has her own school of hand embroidery, from time to time she participates in exhibitions and constantly experiments with materials and styles, looking for old books with descriptions of techniques and diagrams of folk embroidery. Among her works, in addition to classical satin stitch embroidery, there is also embroidery with silk ribbons, and Florentine and Assisi embroidery, experiments with glass beads and sequins, embroidery on felt. I will post photos of her work. What if it comes in handy for someone?
Happy viewing ?
