Today it has become very fashionable to have a beautiful gazebo at your summer cottage, in which you can hide from the sun or rain, as well as sit and relax under a barbecue on the weekend. There are a lot of options for construction, but still preference is given to lightweight structures. So our author decided to build a light gazebo with his own hands. How did he do it? See further.

As mentioned above, the gazebo built by the author of a light structure, assembled from a board and a bar. The author made the foundation in a rather interesting way, namely, he took a large-diameter sewer pipe of 125 mm and cut it into meter lengths. Further, small depressions were dug, at the bottom of which sand was poured and rammed. And already in the prepared grooves, meter lengths of pipes are installed, filled to the top with concrete. Thus, a kind of columnar foundation has turned out. Previously, the author chose a place for the construction site and marked the site using a tape measure, pegs and a thread.
Next, the owner prepares and fills the columnar foundation.
Logs are laid on the pillars and fastened with anchor bolts. The master also makes waterproofing by laying sheets of roofing material on the ground.
Then the assembly of the frame from the bar begins.
Fine gravel is poured onto the decomposed roofing material and leveled.
A rafter system is being made.
The whole structure is covered with stain, and then also varnish, so the tree will take on an even more noble look and will last much longer.
The roof is covered at the beginning with sheets of OSB, this is necessary in order to then lay soft tiles on a flat surface.
The author fixes the soft roof with a hammer and galvanized nails (for the roof), they are best suited for roofing work, because they do not give rust over time.
And now the gazebo is ready, you can receive guests, cook a kebab.
