The swing was made in one weekend (2 days), after having thought everything through, purchasing materials and preparing drawings.
The first day:
They decided to make the swing from what was left after the construction of the house, namely: a board 40 mm and 20 mm thick and 150 mm wide. In the store, only fasteners were bought (bolts, corners, hooks, screws, chain). The chain was bought with a link thickness of 6mm and a total length of 5 meters. Should be enough.
Everything cost about 2,000 rubles.
The job requires a certain tool.
- Screwdriver or screwdriver.
- A jigsaw or a hacksaw for wood.
- Drill.
And better - all of the above.
First of all, we assemble the swing seat as shown in the photo:
All fasteners on the corners along the inner perimeter of the frame and on self-tapping screws at the ends.
We collect the back of the seat.
On the first day, we managed to make the side parts of the main frame, on which the seat is suspended on chains. This is a crucial part of the structure, so here we use bolts, but thicker.

Second day. We collect the roof. The roof must be installed at an angle (25 degrees) to allow natural drainage of water when it rains. If you give a small angle, then water will accumulate in the cells that form the fabric, lying on the roof frame.
On the side parts of the frame, in the middle, mini-countertops were made so that you could put something or put something (a cup, a phone).
For convenience, the seat back is tilted slightly back and the swing itself is suspended on chains in such a way that a slight backward tilt of the swing is formed.
