Lemons is an amazing product. Not only are bright yellow citrus fruits able to have a positive effect on health, they are also an irreplaceable assistant in maintaining feminine beauty and cleanliness in the kitchen. The characteristic acidity and fresh aroma of lemons transform any dish, be it sweet or salty. I confess I'm a fan of lemons!
But it is not always possible to keep fresh lemons on hand to use in cooking, cleaning products and home beauty products (you can simply forget to buy the next portion). We propose to prepare a universal lemon peel seasoning, incredibly fragrant and easy to use.
How to dry and use lemon zest
To make lemon seasoning, you need 3-4 fresh lemons. Wash them thoroughly. Use a peeler to remove the zest, being careful not to touch the white skin (it gives excessive bitterness).
Dry the zest (you can in the open air, you can use an electric dryer). Such lemon peels ready to use, for example for flavoring tea. But we will go further!
Place the crusts in a food processor or blender and blend into a powder. Now you can use the seasoning to prepare various dishes: baked fish, seafood, salads, pastries, creams …
Use the seasoning sparingly, as its aroma is quite intense: 1 tsp. powder replaces 1 tbsp. l. fresh lemon peel.
By the way, mixing 1 tsp. lemon powder with 2 tbsp. l. sugar and a little olive oil for a stunning anti-cellulite body scrub.
