Do you want a house in the country? This is not just a picture, this is a relief that you want to touch.

It is not at all difficult to create a relief depicting a village house.

This technique was tested in an art school with children of 12 years old. Join us! "Build" a house is fun.

We will need:

- wooden frame with fiberboard or cardboard;

- PVA glue;

- acrylic putty;

- acrylic primer or white acrylic paint or water-based paint;

- oil, acrylic or watercolor paints (depending on the soil);

- palette knife or thin spatula;

- medium thickness cardboard;

- a piece of cotton wool or padding polyester.

Lead times are indicated without drying. It will take from 2 to several days until the paint is completely dry.

You can take a photo of your country house as a basis. The main thing is to see the two sides, the angular position. Add details: veranda or porch, attic.

Let's prepare a frame. For example, I will have two jobs. Cut out the background for the picture from fiberboard or thick cardboard. Plastic won't work. Ready-made frames come with a ready-made cardboard. We turn the frame over and glue the fiberboard or cardboard. I use extra PVA glue. Let's put the load on top. It is advisable to do this in advance.

After the glue dries, turn the frame over. With a pencil we draw a drawing of the structure.

Cut out all the details of the house from medium thick cardboard.

Image
Image

You need to start with the main walls and roof. Then extensions and attics are cut out. Windows and doors can be cut (better) or cut out as a separate piece - a rectangle.

In this work, the roof is made of one piece with a fold. The side wall has been replaced by an extension - one piece with a fold.

Preparing the putty mixture. Putting the putty in a separate container. The putty needs a thick, non-spreading.

Image
Image

Pour PVA glue about 20-30% onto the putty. By eye. Mix with a palette knife or a thin spatula.

Image
Image

Next, we apply the putty mixture to work with a palette knife, starting from the sky. Close up the cracks near the frame. There is no need to smooth out the sky. We got to the house. If you start working with a mixture, do not leave work for a long time. The mixture will begin to dry out after a while.

Image
Image

We begin to paint on the walls. The corner of the house should be convex, so we apply more mixture in this place.

Image
Image

This is how we lay the main details of the house. If there is a pipe, hers too. The roof should hang over the wall and go over it. Press the edges of the house on the left, right and top to the base; the corner of the house and the bottom protrude.

Image
Image

Now we coat all the details on top with the mixture. All joints must be covered. Look from the sides and from above.

Image
Image

We grease the following details - the attic. As you go down, scratch out details on the pipe and roof. Define the crown and branches of the trees.

Image
Image

The final detail is the veranda. Its angle should also be convex.

Image
Image

We covered the whole house, leveled it and do not forget to apply the details. This can be done with a toothpick.

Image
Image

The work with the second house is going in the same way.

Image
Image

The second is also ready. You can take a break at this point. Drink tea.

Image
Image

Have a rest? Now we make convex details with a thin spatula or syringe without a needle: tree branches and snow. Didn't I tell you that the houses will be winter? Then I inform you that there will be snow on the roof, on the windows, on the chimney and snowflakes in the air.

It remains to make the bottom part. This can be done with a piece of cotton wool, padding polyester. We apply the putty mixture under the synthetic winterizer and on top.

Image

In the foreground, squeeze out several branches and a bush with a syringe.

Image
Image

The second house is ready. Now let it dry. My tools and hands. It is better to put the work on the battery. Let him rest until the next day.

Image
Image

Before painting, the frame is cleaned of the putty mixture, and the work is primed. It can be done with acrylic primer, acrylic paint and water-based paint. In the future, you can work on acrylic primer with oil paint, acrylic, and on water-based paint - with watercolors and acrylics. It is better to paint over the frame.

If you like white reliefs, then you can stop.

Work in color. You can choose different colors. Here's an example using oil paints. We apply the paints liquid using a thinner for oil paints. Acrylic or watercolor with water. The choice of color is optional. The frame is painted over.

Image
Image

The snow is being painted over.

Image
Image

On convex places and snow we wipe with a cloth (for oil paints). Draw the details with white paint: window frames, branches, snowflakes and snow. Dark colors can be used to shade windows, roof, snow caps. The work has been completed. It remains to dry.
