Metal barriers, or, as they are simply called, chippers, installed so that motorists do not drive into the oncoming lane or outside the road. But only in the event of an accident, when a car crashes into such a bumper at high speed, the consequences are often dire.
Recently, employees at ETI, headquartered in South Korea, developed new type of road fencedesigned to save the lives of drivers and their passengers.
This invention consists of steel pipes, between which plastic rotating rollers are located. The latter are painted yellow, and also covered with a reflective compound, which makes them visible at night.
If the car runs into such a fence, it takes the brunt of the blow. The rollers begin to rotate and prevent the car from overturning, and the flexible design significantly reduces damage to the car itself. The whole structure increases the likelihood that the health of the driver and passengers will not be affected.
The system has already been approved in South Korea. Malaysia was one of the first countries to buy it and secure their roads.
We sincerely hope that such bumpers will soon appear in our company.
