Do you want to surprise your guests with unusual cookies, or decorate the cake in an original way? We bring to your attention a recipe for a very unusual sugar cookie, similar to moss. Your guests will definitely be surprised to see such moss on a plate or as a decoration for a birthday cake.

- green food coloring
- kitchen spatula
- wooden spoon
- food parchment
How to bake unusual sugar cookies
- Wheat flour - 600 g
- Sugar - 200 g
- Chicken egg - 2 pieces
- Margarine - 250 g
Stir sugar, margarine, eggs, add flour, soda on the tip of a knife.
Knead the dough.
Roll it out, cut figures out of the dough layer.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line the bottom of the baking sheet with food parchment.
Place the sugar cookie dough in a bowl and add a quarter spoon of green food coloring.
Advice: try to choose a dye that resembles moss.
Stir the dough until a homogeneous green mass is obtained. Add more dye if necessary.
Advice: A wooden spoon works best for kneading dough. The dye can be washed off in the dishwasher later.
Take a small ball of dough and spread it thinly over the parchment using a kitchen spatula. It's good if the resulting cake has uneven edges, uneven thickness is also not a problem.
Fill the entire baking sheet with cakes of different sizes and shapes, leaving small gaps between them.
Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven, bake the cookies at 180 degrees for 12-14 minutes.
The cookies are done when the edges begin to brown a little.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool.
Turning the cookies over, you will find that their underside is rather loose, and already looks a bit like moss.
Take one cookie and crush it to make small green crumbs.
Advice: you can crush cookies using a rolling pin, after placing it in a plastic bag.
Sprinkle green crumbs over each of the remaining cookies. The crumbs are evenly distributed over the pits on the surface of the cookies, and now the cookies already look like real moss.
These sugar cookies can be served as a stand-alone dessert, or used to decorate a cake.
