We recently finished renovating the balcony, and I thought how wonderful it would be to sit there with a cup of hot cocoa, gently swaying, looking out the window and admiring the view. Agree, a wonderful pastime!

And now, inspired by this idea, I decided to make a hammock chair, and at the same time share it with you!

We need:

1. A piece of any dense fabric (I had a size of 100x150cm. The wider the width, the more comfortable it will sit!).

2. Shank for a shovel (the most common thick shank, I bought in the economic department on the market).

3. Synthetic cord (mine was 4mm thick, 2 packs of 20 m each).

4. Acrylic paint.

5. Brush.

6. One large potato.

7. Cookie cutter.

8. Sewing machine.

9. Drill.

10. Thick threads and a needle.

So let's get started.

We take our piece of fabric and cut 2 strips 4 cm wide and 100 cm long from it - these will be loops.

We sew the edges of the remaining piece on a typewriter. It turns out such a blank:

Next, we go back to our cut strips. We cut each of them into 9 equal parts, bend 2 free sides to the middle and fold in half to make a loop. We sew the bottom of the loop on a typewriter. These are the loops you should get:

Then we figure out how the loops will be placed and bait them with pins:

Sew on the loops with thick threads:

We singe the ends of the threads so that they stick together, so it is safer:

Actually, the seat is ready!

Now on to the fun part, the decoration!

We need to make a stamp.

We take the potatoes, make a cut on one side so that there is a flat surface, press the cookie cutter there, cut off the outer edge of the pot along the contour of the mold, and voila, we have a stamp!

We take acrylic paint (the color of your taste, you can even more than one) from my aqua! It is more convenient for me to apply paint to the stamp with a brush, but if you like, you can pour paint on a saucer and dip the stamp there.

And then you make prints on the front side of the chair, I did it in a checkerboard pattern, like this:

And now we take the handle from the shovel and drill at each end along the hole with the largest drill:

Then we take our cord and divide it into equal parts according to the number of loops. We fold the end of the cord in half to make a loop, and thread it into the loop of the hammock, tighten the loop from the cord, tie the free ends into a knot:

Next, we thread the free long ends into the holes on the handle for the shovel (it is very convenient to use an invisibility for the hair), tie the free ends into a knot, then it will be convenient to adjust the position of the chair:

Now we make a loop for which we will attach the hammock to the hook on the ceiling. We estimate how long we need the upper lintel (look at the height of the ceilings, estimate at what height you want to hang the hammock) and measure 3 so long that the lintel is triple.

We find the middle, on either side we retreat 5 cm down from it and tie a cord 1 m long so that we have free ends of 50 cm each. Next, we begin to braid our triple jumper with a simple flat knot to the middle.

When you braid 10 cm, fold the jumper in half and make a loop (we braid not 3 threads, but all 6) and fasten the free ends. The loop is ready!

We attach the edges of the jumper to the handle:

Now you need to adjust the chair, it is very simple to do it. We hang up and see which cord needs to be tightened and which one should be loosened. When everything is adjusted, we fix the jumper so that it does not jump off the handle. We take the free ends, divide in half, bend around the handle and fox at the bottom with a flat knot.

Well, actually, that's all! You can swing, ride and relax!
