I needed feathers for another toy. In the description that I found, they were done well, very boring, long and dreary. I honestly tried to do it as prescribed, but on the second I rubbed the blisters. She sat down to think (lazy people are the most inventive. Where inventiveness - there is a face!)
I thought it over.
I took a cardboard the size of a future feather, and yarn. I started winding the yarn around the cardboard, tightly.

We reel.

We reel more.

Then we reel. We finished it. It seems like a long time.
Cutting the yarn into many small pieces and tying each knot on the wire - even longer?

We sew exactly in the middle (on the cardboard you can draw the middle in advance) on the sewing machine with small stitches.

We cut the yarn on the sides.

On the other hand.

And tear off the cardboard. Stitched, easily tears off along the perforation.

These are the stitched threads. We need to make them look like a feather.

We take the wire, at the beginning we tie several threads along the length of the workpiece into a loop (top of the feather). We wrap the wire with thread, again tightly.

The workpieces are nearby. Feather and vein in the middle of the feather.

Sticking. You can use a heat gun if you can finely distribute the glue.

On the other side of the pen we just glue a thread. So close the seam.

This is such a beauty.

Multi-colored blanks.

And the resulting feathers.

Go for it!
