I will teach you how to weave a pigtail Waterfall. This is an uncomplicated braid that can be woven in different directions and at different angles and resembles a curved French braid.

Stage 1: Hair preparation

My hair is quite long, but it's not really a prerequisite for braiding the waterfall braids.
Comb your hair back. You can use Biosilk gel for better hair retention.
Stage 2: Getting Started Weaving

Start with a lock of hair in the center of your head (parting line). We take a curl about 3 cm wide.
We divide it into 3 parts and begin to weave a pigtail. At this stage we weave an ordinary braid, I think everyone is familiar with this. We continue this way until the length of the pigtail is about 2 cm.
Now the waterfall begins. Take the curl farthest from your face, run it into the braid, as you usually do, but then hang it completely down. The braid curl will go over the top of it and hold it in place.
So, to get a waterfall, you grab a new strand from above, pass it through a pigtail and hang down. The curls of the main braid will hold it up and down. Then we take a new curl to replace the one you just pulled down and the operation is repeated. Braiding hair is sometimes very difficult to explain in words. I hope this

Stage 3: create the waterfall

We repeat this operation over and over again, grabbing a new strand from above, passing it through the pigtail and hanging it down. You need a new curl all the time to "feed" your pigtail.
The first photo clearly shows that the first curl, which we took from above, goes down. Also visible is the strand that holds this curl in place.
Stage 4: Continue the pigtail

We continue weaving, twisting the pigtail around the head, towards the opposite ear.
Stage 5: Finishing the pigtail

As you can see in the photos, the braid was started on one side of the parting and finished at my ear on the opposite side. Thus, we used all the hair that was slicked back. As soon as your braid reaches this stage, you need to continue to weave the pigtail for a few more centimeters (already without the waterfall), and then tie it. If you want, the end of the braids can be hidden under your hair using hairpins (see photo).
Stage 6: Done

All is ready! As you can see, braiding a waterfall is quite simple. When you practice, you can get creative and get amazing patterns.
