I often saw pictures of houses and tents for cats on the Internet, but none of these houses had detailed step-by-step instructions on how to make them! I decided to make a tent house for my cat named Luna and write this instruction with photos so that you can do the same or better. ?
How to make a house for a cat
This is probably the easiest house for a cat that you can make yourself. All you need is a T-shirt, a wire hanger + a piece of cardboard. A pleasant addition will be the fact that manufacturing will take you no more than 10-20 minutes and, if your cat does with this house as we have already described in this funny article, i.e. ignore it, you don't get too upset because you don't spend too much effort.
Step 1: what you need

Cat
T-shirt
A piece of cardboard 15cm * 15cm
2 wire hangers or just wire
Masking tape
Safety pins
Nippers or whatever you can use to cut the wire and bend it - I used a larger pliers. ?
Step 2: cut the hangers
cut hangers
Cut off the top hook of the hanger. I previously untwisted it, but in fact it was not necessary.
Step 3: bend the wire and prepare the cardboard

First, we straighten the wire, making it as flat and smooth as possible. Then bend each into an arc like in the photo. (My Lou is watching her work closely.)
I also glued the edges of the cardboard with masking tape (also called paper tape) for greater strength. This is necessary if you will be using corrugated board.
Step 4: holes
holes in the cardboard prepared for the cat's house
Punch holes in the corners of your cardboard base. You can do this with the same hanger or awl.
Do not indent more than 3.5 cm from the edge, it should not be too large.
Step 5: connect the wire

We cross two wire arcs. Make sure the ends of the wires are on the same plane. After that, carefully wrap the crosshair with tape to fix the arcs.
Thread the ends of the arcs through the holes in the cardboard you made in the previous step.
Step 6: fix the frame

Bend the section of wire sticking out of the cardboard base. It is advisable to make this piece at least 2.5 cm. Do this at each of the four corners.
When gluing this end with tape, make sure that it fits snugly against the cardboard and that it is completely sealed with tape so that it does not cling to the T-shirt in the future.
Step 7: the frame is ready

The frame for the cat house is almost ready. At this point, you can tweak the haulage to make the house look better. You can use pliers.
Step 8: create the house

Pull the shirt over the frame and position it so that the head hole is in the middle of the front wall of the makeshift house.
Tuck the protruding lower part of the T-shirt down, under the bottom of the house. Then tuck the sleeves of the T-shirt in the same way.
Pins securely to the sleeves and the folded section of the T-shirt to hold them in place.
As you can see in the last photo, the fabric is stretched quite tightly over the frame. Try to do the same.
(I know it was possible to shorten the T-shirt, but I decided not to touch it and secure it with regular pins so that in the future it would be easy to take it off and wash it.?)
Step 9: fire up the cat
The cat is enjoying a new home
As you can see, I was lucky and my cat liked her new home. I put some catnip inside just in case.
I will be glad to discuss this work with you in the comments or see photos of your cat houses.
Author: Nadezhda I like to give new life to some things. For a long time I had a black and white scarf in my closet, which I rarely wore, because folding it diagonally, it became thick and short … In my next meeting with a scarf, I had thoughts of altering the scarf into a scarf-stole or snood
In December 2016, Frances Gabe, a resident of Newburgh, Oregon, died at the age of 101. Her neighbors said that for the past 20 years she has never cleaned her house. But how is this possible? It turns out that after the divorce, Francis found it difficult to raise two children and at the same time do the housework
The use of old sweaters, scarves, hats, socks, gloves, etc. In general, everything that is already impossible to wear, but it is a pity to throw it away. 1. Sweater + threads + scissors + regular needle + saddlery needle. 2. Cut off any part of the sweater (pictured sleeve)
For most of us, New Year's Eve is a special time, and it does not matter at all how old we are, 5 or 55. For the winter holidays you always start preparing in advance: you choose gifts, think over the menu and outfits and, of course, decorate your house or even everything around
Knitted items often go out of fashion or simply cease to be liked long before they wear out. If the decision to get rid of the old sweater is finally made, do not rush to write it off in rags. First, think about what and for whom it can work
