Eggshell Mosaic
Laying out the mosaic is quite painstaking work, but a beginner can make it easier by doing decoupage on eggshell.
The technology is simple: apply PVA glue on the defatted workpiece, lay out the shell, attach a fragment of a napkin (or a whole one) on top, press down to draw the relief, let it dry. Remove the film from the shell first.
