American architect Chris Heininge is known for designing small country houses, making the most of all available space in them. Since he spent his childhood and adolescence in Japan, India and China (Hong Kong and Macau), he learned to appreciate the space in the house from an early age. In these countries, few people can afford a large living space, and local residents have gotten used to squeezing everything they need into the limited dimensions of their apartments.
Returning to his homeland, Chris embodied the acquired skills to save space in his own house in Arizona. In appearance, this "hut" looks like a toy, because the area it occupies is just over 18 square meters! The length of such a cottage is 6 meters, and the width is only slightly more than three. Nevertheless, inside there is everything you need for the life of a young bachelor or childless married couple.
At first glance, the house looks more like a restaurant gazebo. Well, from the inside, it seems much larger than the outside.
Upon entering, you find yourself in a living room with a comfortable sofa and a beautiful view from the large windows.
The staircase to the second tier hides not only many storage compartments, but even a fireplace.
Next is the kitchenette, fenced off from the living room by a dining table.
The kitchen is replete with cupboards and shelves.
On the second tier there is a bedroom with a huge bed, comfortable bedside tables and dressers.
Near the kitchen there is a bathroom with a small bathtub equipped with hydromassage. However, the bathtub is clearly designed for the fact that it will only be used for taking a shower.
Opposite the bath is a washbasin and stylish cupboards.
Looking at this house from the outside, you just can't believe that a full-fledged apartment with all the amenities can be accommodated inside!
This work by Chris Heining caused a lot of excitement, and many people wished to have a similar house. Therefore, the author set up the serial production of such cottages. Now everyone can buy such a dwelling for 59 thousand dollars. The house is transported unassembled on a trailer, and its installation takes very little time.
Of course, in our conditions, such a house is unlikely to become a full-fledged housing, but it is quite suitable for a summer vacation. In addition, Chris Haining can get a lot of ideas and more rationally organize the interior space of your apartment. And don't forget to tell your friends about this amazing house. I am sure they will be interested in looking at it.
