It is simply incredible what heights technological progress has been able to achieve. We are already quite calm about various know-how and the next miracle inventions. But there are still things in the world that make us gasp with delight!
Surprisingly, tropical islands are located practically in the very center of Germany, in Brandenburg. Yes, a beautiful lagoon with clear water and white sand, on the banks of which palm trees grow and exotic birds chirp! But the most amazing thing is that this miracle was placed in an unusual place.

Tropical islands are located in an ordinary hangar. The only thing that was remarkable about the building before is its colossal size. After all, it was a boathouse for airships. Its length reaches 360 meters, and its width is 210 meters.

The hangar itself was previously owned by Cargolifter AG. In the mid-90s, its owners wanted to revive the production of airships for the transportation of oversized cargo. However, the idea did not justify itself, and the company went bankrupt.

The giant hangar would have remained empty if the Malaysian concern Tanjong had not laid eyes on it.

With money from Asian sponsors, a unique recreation park with its own microclimate was built in the former hangar. The pools were equipped in the style of natural reservoirs, and tropical vegetation was planted around them.

Real jungle rustled in the hangar. In addition, the tropical forest has been populated with exotic birds!

Moreover, the amusement park is inhabited not only by little birds, but also by graceful pink flamingos.

You can also find tropical insects here! True, they, thank God, were not released. Those who wish can admire the insects through the glass of special terrariums.

The park, equipped with the latest technology, was named "Tropical Islands" and is capable of receiving simultaneously up to six thousand visitors!

Those who do not have enough day to enjoy the tropics can stay here overnight. The complex is equipped with its own hotel.

In the dark, the pool water is illuminated with a bluish glow, creating a unique atmosphere.

There are several first-class bars and cafes, which are stylized as tropical huts, at the guests' service.

To remind visitors that they are still in Germany, an entire village with half-timbered houses was built along the walls of the hangar.

Children are welcome here. Several playgrounds were built for them, where kids can frolic both on land and in water.

For those who like to relax as a savage, there is even a tent city here!

Indoors, the same conditions are maintained all year round. Even if it's winter outside, the "Tropical Islands" will delight their visitors with a temperature of +26 degrees.

Judging by the photos, there is no end to those wishing to visit this paradise! This is understandable: in order to get to a piece of paradise, you do not need to fly to distant lands.
