Have you ever noticed that in almost all interior shootings there are fresh flowers in the pictures? And all because an armful of flowers will always decorate the interior and bring into it the necessary liveliness and a sense of celebration. However, it is very offensive when a beautiful bouquet announces its death in a day. No, that won't work! Let the flowers stand for as long as possible.

1) The main problem, why the flowers wither quickly: they either do not like water, or it does not get enough to them. The surest way in the fight for the longevity of bouquets is to cut the stems and change the water daily.
2) Cut the stems obliquely so that more water can feed the flower. I also peel off 1 to 2 cm of the top cover of the stem with a knife, exposing it to water.
3) If you bring a bouquet from the cold, then before doing all the manipulations with it and putting it in a vase, you should let the flowers acclimatize. It is better to put them in the cool for a short while: on the windowsill, for example.
4) Before placing flowers in water, it is necessary to cut off the leaves (and thorns) from the bottom of the stem: then the leaves will not rot, and there will be more water access to the stem.
5) It is better to pour boiled water at room temperature into a vase, or at least water from a filter. No flower will like too hot hard water.
6) If there is no way to pamper the flower with good water, then in order to soften the water that is (in cities it is mostly very hard), you should add a tablespoon of vinegar or citric acid to it.
7) Oddly enough, sugar prolongs the life of flowers. If you see that the flowers are beginning to "feel sad", add a teaspoon of sugar to the water.
8) There is a trick: if the flowers have a hard stem (like a rose or lilac), you can cut the bottom of the stem into several parts: this will further increase the flow of life-giving moisture.
9) If you see that the stem begins to rot and the water becomes greenish, then the water needs to be changed, the stem cleaned, and then a teaspoon of salt, alcohol or half a tablet of aspirin should be added to the new liquid (they say it helps a lot!).
10) Spraying the flowers daily with cool water from a spray bottle will make the flowers look more joyful and fresh.
11) Always rinse the stems when changing water. And do not forget about the vase: it is also better to rinse it, and, if necessary, rinse with a soda solution.
12) Surprisingly, but true: not all flowers are combined with each other. This does not mean the aesthetic component, but the natural one. In close proximity, lilies and tulips, for example, fade faster. It is necessary to correctly arrange the bouquets. When buying flowers, florists should tell you which flowers do not need to be kept in the same vase. Lilies of the valley and carnations are lonely flowers that spoil any company of brothers in which they fall. Keep in mind.
13) To freshen flowers, let them stand in the cold for a while. Also a well-known folk way is to put flowers in the water in the bathroom. In an hour, they will be so saturated with water that they will stand for some more time.
And finally, the secrets of caring for certain flowers: lilac does not like heat; tulipsfor resuscitation, you can briefly put it in the refrigerator; roses as much water as possible is needed, and the ends of their stems should be held under hot water so that they better absorb moisture; at lily it is worth removing the dark ends of the stamens before placing them. And almost all flowers will be grateful for a half-tablet of aspirin.
